Wedding Photography at Wotton House – Lou & Rob
Wedding Location - Wotton House |
Reception Location - Wotton House
So, 13 acres of grounds, a smattering of ancient Greek architecture, Italian gardens… this is Lou & Rob’s amazing wedding at Wotton House! In what was once the former seat of the Evelyn family, this 17th-century house has a long tradition of entertaining guests, handy now that it’s a wedding venue! December weddings always have a touch of magic in the air, as Christmas decorations are up and and the festive spirit performs summersaults all over the shop. Wotton House is beautiful, particularly at this time of year – having a venue like this really opens up great opportunities for creativity, inside and out! We were also fortunate enough to have great weather during the daylight, allowing us to venture into the immaculately manicured gardens, which actually feature the first Italian gardens introduced in the UK! Olden days stuff…
Once again I was joined by my second shooter, Charlie Marshall – and we both loved the privilege of working with Lou & Rob – what an awesome couple!
The ceremony was conducted in Wotton’s magnificent Old Library, before we headed outside for some family photos, just in front of some truly stunning Greek structures. We had to work quickly to get everything done before the 15:56 sunset, but we made it with plenty of time before the wedding breakfast! The weather started to deteriorate later in the evening, but that didn’t stop us from having a crafty meander outside for some creative lighting shots. These guys could party! They did exactly that and danced all night long!
It was such a pleasure photographing this wonderful December wedding, and brilliant to play our part in Lou & Rob’s wedding day! Thanks you so much for choosing Mark O’Brien Photography. Here’s the highlights!
