Ashleigh & Daryl's Spring Wedding at Brookfield Barn
Ashleigh and Daryl’s spring wedding at Brookfield Barn had one of those effortlessly brilliant flows to it — the kind where everything just seems to click into place. The venue itself does a lot of heavy lifting in that respect; Brookfield Barn is one of those rare spots that feels purpose-built for a great day, with its light-filled spaces, lakeside setting, and that brilliant Bond-style area that somehow manages to feel both stylish and relaxed at the same time. Add in perfect weather and it all really came alive — especially later on when we snuck out for golden hour. The venue’s little golf buggy came into its own at that point, taking us out to the swing by the fields for some sunset photos that felt properly cinematic.
There were loads of standout moments throughout the day — the flowers were genuinely enormous (in the best way), the champagne never seemed to stop flowing, and the food deserves a special mention on its own. The beef was outrageously good — the kind you barely need to chew — and definitely one of those meals guests will still be talking about long after the day. Speeches brought a proper mix of emotion too, from a father of the bride speech that landed with real weight, to a best man who absolutely nailed the brief and had the whole room in bits. And then, as all good weddings should, it tipped over into a full-on party — a packed dance floor, a great DJ, and that feeling that no one really wanted it to end.
Here's how it rolled:
