Sunshine, Go-Karts & Handstands - Welcome To Rosie & Darren
ROSIE GOT IN TOUCH AND SAID:
“Heya Mark! Your photos look beautiful & candid & I love the finish on them so wanted to get in touch! We’re fairly newly engaged — I’m a project manager (so very on top of things ha!) — and we’re planning a barn wedding in 2025. We’d love natural looking photos & someone who can get the best out of guests who aren’t necessarily used to being photographed (the groom included!)”
I mean… when someone says they want natural photos and then gently throws their own groom under the bus in the same sentence, I already know we’re going to get along.
And that’s pretty much how their Pangdean Old Barn wedding unfolded. Champagne corks flying at home in the morning (Darren had very sensibly been relocated), glorious sunshine all day, a very brief solo portrait session with the aforementioned groom — he survived — and Rosie arriving looking incredible before walking down the aisle with her dad. From there it was confetti in the gardens, drinks in full flow, lawn games everywhere… and then the go-karts. The children loved them. The adults loved them more.
By the time the surprise singing waiter made his entrance, the volume had gone up several notches — and it never really came back down. We snuck off for a few golden-hour portraits while the light softened everything, before the dance floor fully took over. Handstands were involved. Energy levels were high. Exactly what you hope for at the end of a glorious barn wedding.
